Lack of Homeownership plays a significant role in perpetuating the cycle of abuse…

In the darkest corners of society, these countless women are finding themselves struggling to maintain their light in the face of economic abuse. With the youth, beauty, opportunities, lives and dreams of women being suppressed for far too long it permeates us with the deepest sadness and despairs. It is time to acknowledge the importance of restoring, preserving, and protecting the inner and outer beauty of women while addressing the root causes of economic abuse. Homeownership, or the lack thereof, plays a significant role in perpetuating this cycle of abuse. The Jane Kelly Marilyn Monroe Foundation International is taking a courageous step to build safe homes for women who have suffered and lost so much due to economic abuse, and we need your support. Join us in the fight to restore dignity and security to these women through the “Dollars for Dignity” program and our upcoming “Candles in the Wind Legacies Ball Gala.”

MAKING HOME OWNERSHIP POSSIBLE FOR WOMEN IN NEED

The most significant factor that impacts the lives of women suffering economic abuse is whether or not they have Home Ownership. A woman often does not leave an abusive man because she does not want to lose her home and cannot afford to pay a mortgage...

And it seems to me you lived your lifeLike a candle in the windNever knowing who to cling toWhen the rain set inAnd I would’ve liked to known youBut I was just a kidYour candle burned out long beforeYour legend ever did
